COUPLES SWEARING BY SEPARATE BEDS AS "APHRODISIAC"

DW: But when I suggest this it's labelled as "detrimental to our marriage."

Longtime couples are coming clean about the secret to saving their relationships is snoozing in separate beds. From Miami to Minneapolis, partners share their stories, citing snoring, hot flashes, and differing schedules as reasons for separate slumbers. Experts have weighed in, suggesting better sleep can lead to better relationships. “We know that poor sleep can worsen your mood, and those who are sleep-deprived are more likely to argue with their partners,” says pulmonologist Dr. Seema Khosla.

Separate rooms are catching on with celebs too. Cameron Diaz revealed last December that she wanted to “normalize” the sleeping arrangements with her husband Benji Madden. “To me, I would literally - I have my house, you have yours. We have the family house in the middle. I will go and sleep in my room. You go sleep in your room. I'm fine,” adding, “And we have the bedroom in the middle that we can convene in for our relations.”
