Korn's Jonathan Davis is sharing some of the details of his recent struggle with an addiction to Xanax.
During an interview with the U.K.'s "Metal Hammer Magazine Show," the frontman said the detox process was so difficult he even stopped writing and listening to music. Davis says he was shaking all the time and fighting off seizures, and basically had to "rewire" his brain.
Davis adds that he was also dealing with the discovery that his son has diabetes, which only made things worse. And while he says music has always been his savior, it just wasn't enough this time.
But he eventually returned to rock with his Korn bandmates, and they're set to release their new album, The Paradigm Shift, on October 8th.
