Modest Mouse will have a little help from Krist Novoselic on their long-awaited new album. The Nirvana bassist explained in a recent interview that he worked with the band on one of their new songs for the still-untitled record, which he calls "pretty edgy."
Novoselic said last summer that he was hanging out and playing with Modest Mouse, but at the time he said he wasn't sure if anything would come out of it. So far there's no word when the new Modest Mouse music will be released, but the band reportedly hopes to have it out by next year.
The album will be the first from Modest Mouse since their 2009 EP No One's first and You're Next, and their first full-length effort since 2007's We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank.
