The Dropkick Murphys kicked off Game Six of the World Series in true Boston fashion Wednesday night with a raucous rendition of "The Star Spangled Banner."
The Celtic punk rockers took the field at Fenway Park decked out in Red Sox jerseys, with one member even sporting a kilt.
After the anthem, they treated fans to a rendition of their hit "Shipping Up to Boston," although TV viewers didn't get to hear much of it. Fox cut to a commercial shortly after the first few notes. But everyone in Fenway heard it, and it may have helped spark the Red Sox offense.
Boston defeated the St. Louis Cardinals 6-1 to win their third World Series title in the past decade. It was the first World Series-clinching victory in Fenway Park since 1918.
