Black Sabbath's estranged drummer Bill Ward is recovering from intestinal surgery.
The British rocker reveals in a website post that he developed perforated diverticulitis, a condition in which pouches begin to grow on the intestine walls and rupture.
Ward received treatment in California. His doctors say the operation was a success, and that he'll make a full recovery.
However, it means Ward has had to postpone a reception later is month at the Annapolis Collection Gallery in Maryland, which is currently displaying his artwork. The event was scheduled for October 26th, and is expected to be rescheduled.
