A stripped-down remix of David Bowie's "Sound and Vision" is going beyond the smartphone ad campaign for which it was intended. Parlaphone Records will release an extended version of the remix of the 1977 track.
The song will be available as a digital download on October 7th and, according to Bowie's website, will feature only Bowie's vocals, Roy Young's piano and Mary Hopkin's backing vocals.
Sonjay Prabhakar remixed the song for Sony's Xperia Z smartphone ad earlier this year. The original "Sound and Vision" appeared on Bowie's 1977 album Low.
