Neil Young & Crazy Horse have canceled the remainder of their tour.
The band announced Monday that guitarist Poncho Sampredo had sustained a hand injury and is resting up on doctor's orders.
Young and Crazy Horse were scheduled to perform four North American dates in early September. The news follows the earlier cancellation of seven European dates over the same injury.
In a statement, the band apologizes for the inconvenience to fans saying that "we too are disappointed at this unfortunate turn of events."
The canceled dates include a spot on the line-up at the Interlocken Music Festival in Arrington, Virginia. They were also booked for a gig at the Capitol Theater in Port Chester, New York.
"Rolling Stone" notes that earlier this year Sampredo had spoken to them about the group's future. He told them at the time that [his] gut tells [him] this is really the last tour."
