Metal icons Metallica are showing off their twist on the typical concert film. They debuted the trailer for "Metallica Through the Never" at Comic-Con this past Friday.
In addition to the band's performance at Vancouver's Rogers Arena, the film stars Dane DeHaan as a delivery boy whose sent out to get something the rockers need. But along the way, he gets caught up in an epic battle between angry rioters and police.
Metallica frontman James Hetfield explained during a panel discussion at the San Diego event that the movie is multi-layered. He adds that "it doesn't tell you what it's supposed to be."
"Metallica Through the Never" premieres in IMAX 3D on September 27th, with a wide release scheduled for October 4th.
