Pizzeria’s “Now Hiring Non-Stupid People” Sign Draws Backlash

DW: They're just sayin' what we're all thinkin'!

Santino’s Pizzeria in Columbus, Ohio, is catching a lot of heat over the sign they put in front of their restaurant a few months ago. The banner said “Now hiring non-stupid people” in all-caps, and a picture of the banner posted on social media has given them a lot of attention.

Jayden Dunigan, whose family owns the restaurant, says the sign was supposed to be a joke. “A lot of people we’ve hired just don’t want to work,” he said. The pizzeria has been getting harassed with calls and fake orders, prompting a manager to tell the press, “Instead of judging our signs, why don’t you come judge our pizzas?”
