STUDY FINDS COUPLES WITH HUGE AGE GAPS MORE SATISFIED IN RELATIONSHIPS

DW: Didn't Jared from Subway use this as his defense?

People might have a lot to say about Robert De Niro and Al Pacino’s new baby news with their much younger partners, but they may be doing it right. A team of scientists from Australia's Deakin University researched relationships with significant age gaps and have found that couples with more years between them report greater trust and commitment and lower amounts of jealousy than couples whose ages are closer together.

And De Niro and Pacino aren’t alone. There are plenty of celebrities in May-December relationships. George Clooney, 62, and Amal Clooney, 45, have been seemingly happy together for almost 10 years. Calista Flockhart, 58, and Harrison Ford, 80, have been married for nearly 23 years, as have Catherine Zeta-Jones, 53, and Michael Douglas, 78. And let’s not forget Leonardo DiCaprio. Ol’ Leo, who’s 48, hardly ever dates a woman who’s not at least two decades younger than he is.
