A Tegu lizard is on the loose in the Northwest part of England. The owner of Pet Encounter Cumbria, Siobhan Harkness, says that the Tegu named Echo escaped after digging through her cage when Harkness left her alone for 20 minutes. She warns that Echo can “Run like a T-Rex” and may whip strangers with her tail if she gets scared.
Harkenss’ biggest fear right now is, “I just don't want anyone having a heart attack if she's in their garden sunbathing and they think it's a crocodile.” Harkness urges anyone who comes across Echo in the Cumbria area to contact her Pet Encounter business immediately.
